In a notebook

diaries, journal writing, diary writing, rushessay, notebooks

I always loved collecting notebooks with pretty prints and designs. And I also write in them. In fact, I already have one rack of bookshelf full of notebooks. It contains my doodles, my rantings, notes from class, dream diaries, thoughts and raves. I started writing back in grade 6, and I'm glad I kept my notebooks.

It's fun looking back on the way I was before, and I'm amazed at how I evolved into someone whom you can now consider mature. Even if most of my writings are rushessay types, it gives me an insight into the things I learned growing up, and how much I've changed. Sometimes, I still cringe over writings related to boys and crushes, but now I can laugh back at it. I now have better types when it comes to guys.

Writing helped me keep tabs of what I really want in life and who I am. Before, I wanted to fit into the crowd, and yet figure out who I really am. The key to that is acceptance and patience. Even if I'm not the party girl type, I realized I don't need to be one to catch the attention of others and to be liked. I am comfortable now in my own skin, and I'm having a clear idea of where I want to go. I will still continue to write, and I find joy in confiding to the private pages of a notebook.
